Slow and Steady Reveal Wheel

Welcome back everyone! Today I thought we'd get a little interactive and make a Reveal Wheel card featuring this adorable Sloth from the Slow and Steady stamp set from Neat & Tangled.

I have a tutorial for this card that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube Channel.

I used multiple products from Neat & Tangled to create this card. To start off with, I created my background by ink blending Ripe Persimmon, Dried Marigold and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink onto Bristol Smooth card stock. I then attached the Hearts Duo Stencil over it and used the same colors to stencil in the hearts. I love tone on tone looks!

For the grass, I die cut the Stitched Slopes from Cilantro card stock. I then assembled my reveal wheel card using the background I created.

My sloth is stamped onto Neenah Solar White card stock with MFT Extreme Black Ink and then colored with copic markers. I used the coordinating die to cut out the sloth with my Gemini Jr. I also stamped the top portion of the stamp onto pattern paper so I could trim out the flag and add to my colored image.

The sentiment I lined up with one of the Skinny Strips die and added above my wheel sentiments.

I wanted to add another message to the card, so I stamped Let's Celebrate to the inside of the card using the Piece of Cake Sentiments stamp set which paired perfectly together.

Here's a look at all the fun messages this card reveals!

I created a board for you to reference on the copic color combos I used for the sloth and turtle.

I also have a board for the Distress Oxide Inks I used to create the background.

I hope you enjoyed creating this fun interactive card with me featuring the adorable Slow and Steady stamp set. I think this would be fun as a slider card too!

Ranger Ink New Products Unboxing!

Hi everyone! A little while ago, Ranger Ink contacted me if I'd like to receive a box of new goodies that they showed at Creativation. Of course I said yes because Ranger products are awesome!

Here is the video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

I have an unboxing video in real time going through the contents of the box and then giving examples of the products in use.

We have some gorgeous bright new Liquid Pearls colors coming out !

Please excuse the brightness in some parts of my video. I didn't hit the Lock White Balance button and this was my second take on the unboxing lol. The first time I filmed it, I forgot to take my microphone off of mute.

Here's a look at the embossing powders on black card stock.

This is the embossing powders on white card stock.

Isn't this picture below dreamy? Check out these new Stickles!

I hope you enjoyed today's unboxing.

You Are Wicked Awesome!

Welcome back everyone! Mindy here with you today to share a wicked awesome card!

For the most part, this card was pretty simple. I took a piece of Bristol Smooth card stock and ink blended Chipped Sapphire, Pine Needles and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink. I die cut this piece using the Receding Blocks Cover Plate and my Gemini Jr. Since my pieces pretty much stayed in place when I took it from the machine I decided to add foam squares behind each piece. Yes. Very tedious but I think it was totally worth it!

Once I had the backing of the foam squares removed, I placed a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Neenah Solar White card stock over the top and pressed down. This attached all of my foam to the card stock. I was then able to peel back the frame and I was left with this amazing design with dimension! I couldn't stop there. I sprayed my panel with Thermoweb Gold Glitter Dust to get all that sparkle!

I'm totally in love with the new Typed Sentiments stamp set. This one matched perfectly with the Awesome Word Die that I cut from White Glitter card stock. I also cut the word die two more times from white cardstock and layered together with liquid glue

To create the sentiment, I first matched up which Skinny Strip would fit best with the sentiment. Then, I die cut the Skinny Strip from Black card stock. To stamp the sentiment, I attached Repositionable Adhesive to the back and lined up in my Misti tool. This makes it super easy to stamp and my card stock won't move. I prepped my strip with anti static powder tool, stamped in Clear Ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. I then attached the sentiment to the card front with foam tape.

I finished off the card by attaching some sequins from the Peacock Feathers Mix with liquid glue and then filling the center with Unicorn Stickles. This would make a great masculine card ! It's perfect to give to my hubby who's been shoveling us out of all of this snow lately.

Hope you enjoyed today's project!

MFT Sketch Challenge 423 - You Bet Your Beak!

Welcome everyone! Today is a very special day as it's my daughter's 13th birthday! I can't believe I officially have a teenager in the house! I wanted to make her something special for a birthday card and I combined it with the MFT Sketch Challenge #423.

Here is a look at the sketch.

I stamped these sweet birdies from the Tweethearts stamp set onto Neenah Solar White card stock in MFT Extreme Black Ink. Then colored with copic markers in rainbow colors and cut out using the coordinating die with my Gemini Jr.

Next, I die cut hearts out from Neenah White card stock 110 lb using the Heart Trio Shaker Window Dienamics. On a panel of Bristol Smooth card stock measuring 41/4" x 5 1/2", I ink blended Festive Berries, Spice Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet Distress Inks. Then I spread Nuvo Glitter Moonstone over the top of the ink blended panel.

I added foam tape all around the back of my panel that I die cut the hearts from and attached to the ink blended panel once it was dry. Then I attached the rainbow birds in front of each heart.

My sentiment is heat embossed in Brutus Monroe Gilded Gold Embossing powder onto Black card stock. Then added to the middle of the card front.

I wrote a special little message inside to my daughter.

Concord & 9th February Release

The new release from Concord & 9th is now available!

Neat & Tangled February Release + Video!

Welcome back everyone! It's time! The February 2019 release from Neat & Tangled is now available for purchase! I have one more card to share with you today but first.... how about a video?

I created a video going through all the new products from the release PLUS I'm recreating a card I made earlier this week. You can view the video down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

For my card in today's post, I used this fun little squirrel from the Jump For Joy stamp set. Does anyone else picture Sandy from Sponge Bob? I totally see it! I stamped my squirrel in copic friendly ink onto Neenah White card stock. Then colored with copic markers and cut out with the coordinating dies using my Gemini Jr.

This squirrel looked like it was really flying so I thought a fun galaxy-ish background would be cool. I ink blended Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Inks onto Bristol Smooth card stock. I added flicks of white paint to look like stars and also sprayed my background with Thermoweb Iridescent Glitter Spray

For the moon, I ink blended a piece of card stock with Antique Linen and then cut out with a circle die. I also sprayed the moon with the glitter spray and then added to my background. I die cut a circle from a piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" white card stock and added to my ink blended panel with foam tape.

I die cut a banner from the Skinny Strips die and then heat embossed the sentiment in gold embossing powder. The sentiment is from the So Fly stamp set. I thought it worked perfectly with my scene.

Lawn Fawn Manatee Pull Tab

Welcome back everyone !  I have another fun interactive card to share combining the Let's Toast Pull Tab Add on with the Manatee-riffic stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

You can view the instructional video down below or HERE on my Youtube channel. I walk you through all the steps to complete the card.

It has been super cold here and I needed to think about warmer places. That's what inspired my card today. I stamped images from the Manatee-riffic and So Jelly stamp sets onto White card stock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. Then colored with copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I created my own stencils for the clouds by die cutting the Puffy Clouds from card stock or you could use Acetate. I then used Mermaid Lagoon to stencil my clouds into the background.

My ocean bottom was created by ink blending Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink. I then smooshed the Vintage Photo ink onto my craft mat, spritzed with water and flicked the mixture onto my ink blended sand.

The waves portion was created by ink blending Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire. I then trimmed this out by using the Stitched Waves die.

I used the Let's Toast Pull Tab add on die to add a manatee behind the waves and adhered the rest of my cute critters to the front. I love using this Add On with different scenes! I stamped the sentiment onto the tab using the Push Here stamp set.

I finished off my card by stamping the sentiment onto Narwal card stock and heat embossing with white. Then die cut using the Everyday Sentiment Banners

Be sure to check out my video HERE that goes through all the steps and exact products used.

Neat & Tangled February Release Day 4 and GIVEAWAY!

Welcome back everyone! Are you ready for Day 4 with the Neat & Tangled February Release? It's a super duper cute one ! Introducing Slow & Steady. How stinkin cut is this?! EEK!

I stamped my image onto Neenah white card stock with Copic friendly ink. Then colored with copic markers. I also stamped the flag onto pattern paper and cut it out to add to my image. Then I stamped the sentiment onto the banner. How fun!

I created a mask for part of my image so I could add a hill to my background. I added the hill using the Landscape Duo Stencil with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink. I also ink blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide around the top portion of the card.

I die cut Awesome from black card stock three times and layered with Lawn Fawn liquid Glue. I masked off a portion of the sentiment and heat embossed in white onto Cilantro card stock. Then used the new Skinny Strips die to cut it out. These Skinny Strips give such a clean look to your sentiments.

I'm in love with this sloth! How about you!?

Neat & Tangled February Release and Giveaway Day 3

Welcome back everyone! It's Day 3 of the February Release from Neat & Tangled. Today we are showcasing the Typed Sentiments Stamp Set and Skinny Strips die. You are definitely going to want these in your stash. They are so versatile and can used at any time!

The Typed Sentiments Stamp set is packed with amazing sentiments. Shown below is one of them. For the card, I die cut the stitched heart from the Love Mail die set out of white card stock. I attached the white card stock to a piece of pattern paper from the Really Rainbow paper pack using foam tape to give the card dimension.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink onto Black card stock and heat embossed with Alabaster embossing powder. Then used the Skinny Strips die to die cut it out. What's awesome about this die is it has a a variety of sizes to fit whatever sentiment you are working with. It gives you beautifully cut edges. No more trying to line up on your paper trimmer.

My next card is using the die cut hearts from the first card. I lined them up on pattern paper in the same order. I actually used the first card as a template before adhering everything down. The hearts are all added to the front with foam tape.

My sentiment is stamped onto Sunflower card stock with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Alabaster embossing powder. I used another Skinny Strip to die cut it out except this time you'll notice I have a flag at the end of my strip.

One more card to share! I got a new toy last week called the Gemini Foil System (which I'll share more about at a later date) and decided to try it out with the Falling Circles cover plate. It pretty much embeds foil into the card stock. Kind of like Letter Press if you are familiar with that.

I die cut the stitched heart from the Love Mail die set out of Gold card stock and added to the front of the card. Then heat embossed another sentiment onto Black card stock with Gold embossing powder

So simple yet so striking!

I highly recommend adding these two sets to shopping list. They are perfect for anything you could be creating and will get used over and over.
