Lawn Fawn Toast Pop Up

Hi everyone and welcome back! Today I'm sharing a fun interactive card that I created using some new products from Lawn Fawn.

This was my first non-holiday card after the holidays and it was honestly refreshing. I may have gotten a little carried away with my breakfast scene but I was truly enjoying the process.

VIDEO DETAILS

I have a video explaining my process that you can down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

Lawn Fawn comes out with the some of the most unique ideas for interactive cards! This one is having the toast pop up out of the toaster but I have so many more ideas for it!

CARD DETAILS

I'm using many different sets from Lawn Fawn to create my scene. The sets include Let's Toast, I Love You (calyptus), Sweet Friends, Thanks a Latte, Critter Concert, Bun in the Oven, and Milk and Cookies. All of my images are stamped onto Lawn Fawn white cardstock with Jet Black ink and colored with copic markers. Then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

The cheerful background is created using the Perfectly Plaid Rainbow pack and Woodgrain cardstock. I added a border using the Reverse Stitched Scallop Rectangle Die.

Doesn't this just make you hungry? I love all of these cute images! I hope you'll check out my video HERE to see the complete process.

New Year - New Adventures

Hi everyone! I hope you had an amazing holiday! It has been crazy busy here since last week. Prepping for Christmas parties at school, to family gatherings and then waiting for Santa with the kids. While I haven't posted anything in a while, I have been creating a TON behind the scenes! I have lots of adventures ahead from new teams to guest designs spots.

For an update on my current adventures you can always view my Resume page. One in particular is the end of my term with Pretty Pink Posh. It has been amazing and such a joy to work with Paulina and the team. Although I won't be on the design team, I will still be creating with their products so be sure to be on the look out!

Looking into the new year I'm excited to announce that I will be joining the Neat & Tangled Design Team. Danielle has such a great variety of products from stamps/dies to stencils and sequins! If you follow me you know I love to play with stencils!

This has been such an amazing year for me personally and creatively. While, I have had my own personal bumps in the road, I refuse to let anything hold me back. I try to always look forward. Look for the rainbow in all things.

Don't forget, if you haven't already, you can also follow me on my other social media accounts.

Tweet Friends + Good Time To Wine + GIVEAWAY!

Welcome back everyone! I'm so excited for today's post. Grab a coffee or tea, I have lots of pictures and information to share today. Bonus TWO videos! Plus a GIVEAWAY sponsored by My Favorite Things.

I had the pleasure of getting my fingers on this set early. The Tweet Friends stamp set is designed by Stacey Yacula for My Favorite Things and has just the cutest images and sentiments on it. This also has a coordinating die that you can purchase separately. I have to admit, it was nice to break away from Christmas related crafting for a while.

VIDEO DETAILS

I have a video that you can watch down below or HERE on my Youtube channel that you DEFINITELY want to check out! There may be a GIVEAWAY involved!!

This set is so cheerful, it's bound to have you whistling a little happy tune!

CARD DETAILS

I couldn't resist creating a little scene with these tweethearts. I copic colored my images using Neenah White Cardstock and MFT Extreme Black Ink. Then used the coordinating die to cut them out.

For my scene, I ink blended Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar and Antique Linen Distress Oxide inks. I added one of my favorite stencils to the sky which is the Radiating Rays Stencil. Keeping this panel one layer, I ink blended Cracked Pistachio and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks using the Grassy Edges Stencil.

I die cut the bold SMILE word die from the panel and attached to a white A2 size cardbase. I also die cut the bold SMILE word die from white cardstock 3 more times. The first set, I layered right into the negative space. This made the front of my panel one layer. Then I added my colored images. Next, I stacked my other two layers of the SMILE word die. This gives the illusion my images are behind the word which I think is super cool.

GIVEAWAY DETAILS

VIDEO DETAILS

I also have a video tutorial that you can check out down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

CARD DETAILS

Have you ever tried the shaker pouches from MFT? I will admit, this is my first time and oh so much fun!! Be sure to check out my video for a closer look!

I played around with alcohol inks to create bold backgrounds for both cards. Alcohol inks are so much fun to work with and you never get the same look twice. It's always a surprise! I highly recommend using the Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat. It's a great surface to work on and easy clean up. You don't see it in my videos too often because it's really hard for me to film with it without getting a reflection but I use it all the time off screen.

These shaker pouches would look great with just glitter cardstock in the background but throw in some sequins and check out that sparkle! This wine glass would be great to make cards for weddings, anniversaries, New Years, or just get togethers with friends.

For my card, I die cut the wine glass from gold glitter cardstock and the back of the glass from white glitter cardstock. The shaker pouch is easily attached using 1/8" scortape which is super strong adhesive. For the inside of my shaker, I used a variety of sequins including 3mm, 4mm, and 6mm sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

My next card is featuring the Mondo CHEERS die that you can get FREE with a $60 purchase. It's such a great size and takes up center stage on my second alcohol inked background. Check out in my VIDEO how I got those amazing spots on the background with the alcohol inks. I tested out adding Isopropyl Alcohol to a mini mister and spritzing my Yupo Paper. I don't have the Isopropyl linked to anyway but I just picked mine up at Walmart. You can really find it anywhere just makes sure it's at least 91% Isopropyl Alcohol.

I didn't think the card needed much more but you could certainly add a sentiment underneath if you chose. I die cut the CHEERS from white glitter cardstock which seems to be my addiction lately.

I'll have all the supplies listed below.

Whew! That was a lot! I hope you stuck around til the end. I separated out the supply lists for convenience.

MFT Sketch Challenge 415 - Shimmer Powders

Welcome back everyone! Today I'm sharing a card for Sketch Challenge 415 over at My Favorite Things.

I started off by creating my background. Using a piece of Canson Watercolor paper I lightly tap Atlantis Burst and Violet Brocade Shimmer Powder onto my cardstock. You don't want to tap too hard or shake because you will have a big mess! Then I take my mini mister and spritz the cardstock with water. This makes the powder spread around the cardstock. You can move your cardstock to move the color around or use a heat tool. Once it's dried it leaves a stunning shimmer!

To me this is an easy way to get a watercolor background without actually watercoloring.

Next, I die cut the Christmas Tree Window from white cardstock and trim down. I add this to my watercolored panel that I trimmed down so it left a little border. I actually used foam squares to add my Christmas Tree Window for dimension. This would also make a great shaker.

To build my cardbase, I die cut white cardstock from the Stitched Rectangles die and added that to a white cardbase with foam tape. Then I could add my Christmas Tree Frame panel. My sentiment comes from the Lots of Hugs stamp set. I prepped my Black cardstock with an antistatic powder tool to remove any static. Then using the Misti tool, I ink up the sentiment with Versamark Ink and stamp. I apply Alabaster embossing powder, heat with my heat tool and trim down with the Slanted Sentiments die.

I finished off the card by adding some White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops to the ornament areas of the tree.

So simple and so beautiful. I hope you give these Shimmer Powders a try! The shimmer is hard to capture on camera but absolutely beautiful in person.

Angel Friends - Pretty Pink Posh

Welcome back everyone! Today I'm sharing a card with the beautiful stamp set Angel Friends from Pretty Pink Posh that is on sale right now !

I started by stamping my images onto some masking paper and fussy cutting the images out. I then stamped my images onto Neenah Solar White cardstock with copic friendly ink and adding the masks to my images.

Next, I ink blended my background using Broken China, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. I added the spotlight area to the card using In The Spotlight stencil from My Favorite Things with Simon Says Stamp White Ink

Once that was done, I flicked on some water and dabbed with a paper towel. Then, I removed the masks and colored in my images with copic markers. I reapplied the masks and sprayed my background with Glitter Dust for some sparkle. Then I could remove the masks again and my images were kept perfectly clean.

To finish off the card, I heat embossed the banner and sentiment in white embossing powder onto red cardstock. Then used the coordinating die to cut them out. I added the banner to the front of the card with foam squares for dimension.

Be sure to head over to Pretty Pink Posh and pick up your set today!

Snow Fun with Neat & Tangled!

Welcome back everyone! Today I'm sharing a card created with some fun Neat & Tangled products.

How sweet is this snowman? Just the cutest right?! All of these images can be found on the Snow Fun stamp set from Neat & Tangled. I stamped the images onto Neenah Solar White cardstock with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and cut out with the coordinating die.

For my background, I used a piece of Surf Blue cardstock from Simon Says Stamp and ink blended Malibu Ink and High Dive Ink around the edges. I added some sloped hills using the Stitched Slopes die from Neat & Tangled. I die cut the slopes from White Glitter Cardstock to add a little sparkle to the card.

The inked panel is added to the front of the card with foam tape for dimension.

Sweet and simple but total cuteness! Be sure to head over and pick yours up today! This sentiment  is such a great pick me up for a friend.

New Years Card - Glimmer Paste

Welcome back everyone! I'm sharing some cards I created using the December 2018 Subscription box from the Hedgehog Hollow featuring Pretty Pink Posh. I posted an unboxing video earlier this week that you can check HERE in case you missed it.

VIDEO DETAILS

I also have a video tutorial for my card today that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

If you would like to be updated of future videos, please be sure to hit the subscribe button.

CARD DETAILS

I knew the second I saw the stencil I was going to be digging out my glimmer paste. Before I crack open the jar, I need to create my background. I'm starting with Fog Cardstock from Simon Says Stamp and ink blending Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks. I'm making sure to leave a highlight area in the center.

Next, I attach my stencil to the ink blended cardstock with some Purple tape to hold it in place. I'm applying the paste using a palette knife and the Golden Crystal Glimmer Paste from Tonic Studios. It's best to do this over a mat like the Easy Clean Mat so you don't get glimmer paste on your main work surface. Once I applied the glimmer paste, I wipe my tool and mat down quickly with a baby wipe and wash the stencil off in the sink. Do not let the paste sit on the stencil or it will be impossible to get off once dried.

I die cut the Happy New Year Script die from the Mirror cardstock that is included in the kit. I also die cut 3 more of the script from white cardstock and layered the sentiment. I use Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive to attach this sentiment to the front of my cardstock and add a couple acrylix blocks to the top to help push it down onto the textured background. Let that sit for a few minutes and it will be perfect!

To finish off the card, I'm going to add some of the sequins which was also included in the kit.

For the next card pictured below, I stamped the champagne glasses onto white cardstock and colored with copic markers. This stamp set is in the kit and also includes the coordinating die. You really get a good deal on this subscription box!

I die cut out a large star from the Stitching Stars die from Pretty Pink Posh (out of my stash) and heat embossed the sentiment at the bottom. I lined the back of the panel with acetate and attached to white glitter cardstock using foam tape.

Below is another example of the stencil but this time I started with Cornflower cardstock from Simon Says Stamp. I ink blended Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Inks and added Silver Gem Glimmer Paste.

The Happy New Year Script die is cut from white cardstock and adhered to the front panel. For a little finishing touch, I added Silver Moondust Nuvo Glitter Drops

I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration. Be sure to head over and pick up your December 2018 subscription box from the Hedgehog Hollow. The Pretty Pink Posh Happy New Year stamp set and Scripty die can only be fond in the subscription boxes!
