Winter Shadow Box Card

Welcome back everyone! I have an adorable Winter Shadow Box to share with you today! There's always something magical about the first snowfall and these cute woodland critters are taking the time to enjoy it.

I have a video showing how I created all the elements and put the shadow box together. You can view it down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

To set the scene I used critters from For You Deer and Winter Skies. I stamped them on Lawn Fawn White cardstock with Jet Black ink. Then colored with copic markers and used the coordinating die to cut them out.

The box itself it cut using the Shadow Box Die and Woodgrain Cardstock. I thought it added to the woodsy feel of the scene. I also used some pattern paper for my sky in the background using Knit Picky Fall Paper Pack.

Using the embossing pen and textured embossing powder I added snow to the background. I couldn't resist adding some actual snowflakes with the Mini Snowflakes die and Pixie Dust cardstock. I attached them to the inside of my card with some acetate so it looks like they are falling from the sky.

For a sentiment, I thought this label looked perfect! It's from the Ready, Set, Snow stamp set which I white heat embossed onto Chili Pepper cardstock.

How absolutely sweet are these critters!?

Be sure to check out the video how everything came together, some copic coloring tips and how to fix boo-boos while cardmaking.

Sneak Peaks - Pretty Pink Posh

Welcome back everyone! Thank you for joining me. Today we are doing some sneak peaks of the November release from Pretty Pink Posh. Release goes LIVE November 5th!! I'll update my post with shopping links at that time.

My card today is featuring the ever adorable Penguin Pals! I have almost the entire stamp set on this card because I couldn't pick which penguin to use.

I stamped my images onto Neenah White Cardstock with copic friendly ink and colored with copic markers. Using the coordinating dies made this super simple to cut out for my card.

For my background, I ink blended Chipped Sapphire and Mermaid Lagoon. I just recently received the last 12 Distress Oxide colors and couldn't wait to play with Chipped Sapphire! I added flicks with some Perfect Pearls and then added my images all around the card. The die cut word in the center is also new this release! I die cut it 3 times from white cardstock and once with Silver Glitter cardstock. Then layered them together with a spray adhesive.

My finishing touch is adding some jewels from the Starry Sky Mix around my card.

Deck the Halls Turnabout - Concord & 9th

Welcome back everyone ! Have you tried the Turn About stamps from Concord & 9th? If not, you are missing out!

I will admit, this is my first go at them but now I'm in love! On this card, I used the Deck the Halls Turn About Stamp set along with the Very Merry Christmas Sentiments.  I think the non-traditional colors are so much fun!

I didn't do a video on this as I was just playing around but I may do one in the future. These make sure quick cards and I'm kind of into making backgrounds right now.

I stamped the images using Dusty Rose, Blue Denim, Jelly Bean Green and Ocean Mist Inks from Gina K Designs. A helpful tip is having the bigger ink pads is easier but it is still manageable with the minis. I trimmed the sentiment down into strips and adhered to my card with foam tape. For a finishing touch, I added Sparkling Clear jewels from Pretty Pink Posh with Gina K Connect Glue.

Just a quick post for you as I was playing around. Hope you like it and let me know if I you would like a video!

Watercolor Bleaching - Save the Crafty Youtuber Video Hop

Welcome everyone to the Save The Crafty Youtuber Hop! I have a fun technique to share with you today that was inspired by the amazing Jennifer McGuire and Kelly Latevola.

This hop is put together to bring you some fabulous designers you may or may not know. Youtube had changed their criteria a while back and some people either lost their monetization or are further away now then before. Monetization is where a Youtuber can make money off of Youtube videos. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes of making a video. Not only does this hop help  bring in those views and hopefully new subscribers but you may find a new crafter you didn't know before.

You can view my view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

We have tons of prizes to giveaway which I'll get to at the end of this post so be sure to keep reading!

I'm showcasing the technique Watercolor Bleaching or Painting with Distress Oxides. I'm using the gorgeous Grand Garden stamp set from Gina K Designs and Ornamental Stamp set from Simon Says Stamp designed by my friend Cathy Zielske.

I'm not going to spill all the details of the card in my post as I encourage you to check out my video. I think it's fun to take an everyday stamp set and turn it into a Christmas card just by changing up some colors and adding just the right sentiment.

Hop Details.

To participate in the hop which is jam packed with techniques you can head over to Justine Hovey's Youtube channel. Each participant for today will have a link to the next person in the hop. The more you comment, the better your chance of winning some of these prizes from the amazing sponsors!

I also have a personal giveaway for my video. I have TWO $25 gift certificates to the one and only Gina K Designs store! Comments must be left by November 7th and winners will be announced on November 10 on Justine's Channel and Blog

A Beary Christmas - Mama Elephant

Welcome back everyone! I figure the best way for me to use the stamps I have is to combine them!

Today's card is featuring lots of cuteness from Mama Elephant. I totally admit that I'm a stamp hoarder. I have tons of stamps that I have intentions of coloring up and never do. The best way for me to get them inky and is to combine sets.

This card is featuring A Beary Christmas, Cool Penguins, Yappy Woofmas and Sentiments From a Yeti. I laid out how I wanted my card design to be and then created masks for all of them.

I stamped out my images onto a Neenah Solar White cardstock base and then added my mask on top. when creating a scene using masking, you want to stamp first the one you want in the front and work your way back. Once all the masks were in place I created a background using Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide. Then splattered with water so it looks like it was snowing.

Once my background was done, I removed the masks and colored my images with copic markers.

I added the sentiment from the Sentiments from a Yeti stamp set. To finish off the snowing effect, I used a white gel pen and added speckles all around the sky. For a little sparkle I used a Nuvo Shimmer Pen because wrapping paper has to sparkle!

I hope you enjoyed today's card. Scenes can be time consuming but so relaxing and fun to create!

Snowflake Stencil - Taylored Expressions

Welcome back everyone! I'm back guest designing with the Taylored Expressions release. This time we are getting real sparkly!

I have a How-To Video for my cards that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

Anyone that has been following me for a while knows stencils are my jam! I have heaps of them! Funny thing is, I don't have a snowflake stencil quite like this! This is the Nordic Stencil from Taylored Expressions. How gorgeous is this!? I immediately thought glimmer paste when I saw it.

I have 3 cards to share using the Nordic Stencil, Make It Merry stamp set and Merry Script Die. All of my backgrounds are created using Amethyst, Mermaid and Pool Alcohol Inks on Yupo paper. I used Isopropyl 91% Alcohol to move my inks around. Isopropyl Alcohol also lightens up the colors a bit and has more of a seAmless blend versus using the Blending Solution.

Once my three backgrounds were dry, which was about a good 1/2 hr, I added the Nordic Stencil by attaching it to my background with Purple tape. This makes sure my stencil won't move while I apply glimmer paste. Two of the cards I used the Moonstone Glimmer paste from Tonic. On my third card, I experimented with using Silver because my Silver glimmer paste was feeling left out.

The one shown above is using the Moonstone Glimmer Paste which takes on the background color more.

Each card is featuring the Merry Script die which I cut from white cardstock and layered 3 times. The card pictured above has some white glitter cardstock as the top layer.

I also white embossed on black cardstock a sentiment from the Make It Merry Stamp set.

So much sparkly goodness! I hope this inspires you! Be sure to head over to Taylored Expressions to pick up your supplies if you don't have them yet.

Thank you Taylor for sending me these amazing products to play with!

Thanksgiving Theme Week - Pretty Pink Posh

Welcome everyone! It's Thanksgiving Theme Week over at Pretty Pink Posh and I'm kicking it off with two cards featuring some new and old sets!

Also be sure to head over to the Pretty Pink Posh store where there is 15% off items in the Thanksgiving section! All of my supplies will be listed at the end of the post.

My first card is starting off combining Happy Turkey, Autumn Wreath and Giving Thanks stamp sets. My images are stamped on Neenah White cardstock with copic friendly and colored in with copic markers. Next, I die cut them all out with the coordinating dies.

I die cut a window from white cardstock with the Window Frames die and layer all of my die cut images. This is attached to an A2 card front that I created using some pattern paper from the Knit Picky Fall paper pack. I finished off the card with some gorgeous Espresso Jewels to tie in the browns from the card.

Copic Colors Used

YG17, YG25, YG23
W4, W2
BG15, BG13, BG11
E25, E23, E21
E59, E57, E55

For my second card, I created my own background with the Stitched Foliage die set and opted for some non-traditional Fall colors. I used Apple Mint, Sea Glass, Peach Bellini and Sticky Note cardstock colors.

Keeping the card clean and simple, I stamped a sentiment onto white cardstock using the Giving Thanks stamp set and added some Sparkling Clear Jewels between the leaves.

I couldn't resist adding a little sparkle to the leaves with my Nuvo Shimmer Pen.

I hoped you enjoyed today's cards and inspires you to combine some of your previous stamp sets with new ones!

Winter Wonderland - Taylored Expressions

Hey everyone and welcome back! I have some more cuteness to share from the Taylored Expressions release!

To make my card, I started by creating the background. Using a piece of Blueberry Cardstock I added Texture Paste with the new Snow Flurry Stencil. It makes a great snowy scene!

I stamped and copic colored the Tree from the Cutting Edge Trees Stamp and Die combo. Then used the coordinating die to die cut it. It actually only partially cuts it out. The die will cut out the tree portion leaving you a fun start to a scene.

I also used the Build A Scene Snow Drifts to add another hill to my card which I popped up with foam tape and lined with Glitter by adding liquid glue. Oh the sparkles! The sentiment is stamped onto the bottom hill with Blue Corn Ink before I added my foam! This comes from the Cutting Edge Tree Stamp set.

I finished off the card by adding this adorable little snowman! I stamped with copic friendly ink and colored with copic markers then cut out with the coordinating die. I couldn't help but add pink cheeks to this cutie!

I hope you enjoyed today's card and it inspired you to create! Head over to Taylored Expressions to pick up your goodies!

Snowflake Gift Box - Gina K Designs

Welcome back everyone! Today's project is for the Gina K Designs Monthly Mix Challenge over at Stamp TV. The theme this month is make anything but a card. Have you visited Stamp TV? Head over and join in the fun for a chance to win a gift certificate to Gina K Designs!!

I created my own pattern paper to create a gift box. I used a variety of snowflakes from Holiday Wreath Builder Stamp set and Sparkling Snowflake Stamp set which is from the Stamp TV card kit. I am seriously in love with those snowflakes! I stamped them randomly on a piece of Seaglass Cardstock using Blue Lagoon ink. To stamp the background, I used a variety of acrylic blocks as this was easier then trying to stamp with the Misti.

This ink and cardstock have such a gorgeous contrast! Once my background was complete, I die cut a gift box from the Scallop Treat Box die. I adhered my box together using Scor-Tape. This is a super strong adhesive so my box will stay put together. Gina's cardstock is nice and sturdy which makes the perfect cardstock for treat boxes!

I finished off the box by stamping a sentiment from the Merry and Bright Stamp Set. I masked off part of the sentiment because I only wanted the top portion. Then stamped onto White cardstock with the Blue Lagoon ink. I die cut my sentiment from the Sentiment Label die and adhered to the front of my box with foam tape.

I hope you'll head over to Stamp TV and join us! There is still time to play! You have until October 31, 11:59pm central time.

Cuddly Cats with Pretty Pink Posh

Welcome back everyone! Today I'm sharing a card and video using some fun products from Pretty Pink Posh. This card could be used for Halloween or Just for Fun.

You can follow along step by step with the video posted down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

To start my card, I'm going to color up my images. I stamp two of the Cuddley Cats from the set onto Neenah Solar White cardstock 80 lbs with copic friendly ink. Then color with copic markers and use the coordinating die to die cut them out.

For my front panel, I'm die cutting a star from a piece of White cardstock using the Stitched Star Die. This will leave a beautiful stitching around the shape that adds a little more interest to the front of the card. I'm also going to use the Simple Sayings Life stamp set and stamp my sentiment with black ink. Be sure to check out my video for a great tip on making sure you stamp straight.

For my background panel, I used a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and add Aged Mahogany and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink with the English Brick Wall Stencil. I wanted to give the sky a Halloween-ish feel so I ink blended Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot Distress Oxide. My front panel is popped up with foam tape and added to the ink blended panel for some fun dimension. Then I could add my Cuddly Cats by tucking them in the Stitched Star Window.

You can't make a card without adding some beautiful jewels! I used the Metallic Gold Jewels which reminded me of stars.

I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration! Be sure to visit my Youtube channel to find more inspiration using Pretty Pink Posh products.

Yeti or Not! - Mama Elephant

Welcome back everyone! I have a fun little Christmas scene to share with you today!

Today's card is using lots of Mama Elephants images! I combined Me and My Yeti with Cool Penguins stamp set. I stamped my images onto Neenah Solar white cardstock 80 lb with copic friendly ink. Then colored in with copic markers. I apologize I did not write down the colors. Sometimes you sit down to play and just get caught up in the moment.

For my background, I die cut some mountains from Stitched Mountain Borders with Fog Cardstock from Simon Says Stamp. I topped the mountains with Pixie Dust Glitter cardstock to add sparkle.  I also used the Stitched Hillside borders die cut from Pixie Dust Glitter cardstock as well for a snow scene. I arranged my die cut pieces onto my cardstock that I ink blended with Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide.

To finish off the scene, I added this fun star banner from the Sentiments from a Yeti stamp/die set. How super fun in this?! I have been itching to use the Yeti stamp set since it was released and I can't wait to make more!
