Darling Dragons Kraftin Kimmie Stamps

Anyone that knows me knows I LOVE dragons! I even have a couple small sculptures and artwork in my craft room of them so of course I had to get this Darling Dragons set from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps!

I wanted to try something a little different with them for this card. I did a galaxy background using my Distress Ink Oxides. Then added some clouds using the Border Die 2 from Jaded Blossom and light grey cardstock from Papertrey Ink.

My dragons I colored up on Xpress It Cardstock, cut then up and adhered two of the three dragons with foam squares and the third dragon just directly to the card. For some final touches I used my pretty new Nuvo drops for white speckles. I tried to add some sparkle mist but forgot that the oxides react with water lol ..so the sparkle didn't show up - I just got more water spots.

Supplies
Distress Ink Oxides - Wild Honey, Twisted Citron, Worn Lipstick, Blueprint Sketch, Black Soot
Xpress It Cardstock
Papertrey Ink Cardstock

Hope you enjoyed today's card!

Friends Furever My Favorite Things

Hello! Hello! I'm popping in to share with you a CAS card I created using My Favorite Things. Super sweet stamp set and so many cute sentiments on it!

For this one, I did a little ink blending with my Distress Ink Oxides. I started by putting a piece of painters tape on two sides of my paper and one about a quarter of the way up my card. Then I inked up the paper above the tape with my Broken China Distress Ink Oxide. I started in a little heavy and then gradually softened my touch as I worked my way towards the middle of the card. Once I was satisfied with the blue, I carefully removed my tape that was in the middle of the card and added it over I'd just been with the blue. I used some Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink Oxide and repeated the same steps.

Once I was happy with the blending, I carefully removed all the tape. I came out with this beautiful soft background on one side of my card which is exactly what  I was going for.

My bear I colored up in copics marker,s cut it out with my Scan N Cut and used some foam squares to add it to my card. I didn't really want to add much more so I just stamped this super sweet sentiment next to my bear. I also used some clouds from Jaded Blossom to put off in the corner just to break up all that white.

7 Kids Crafting Supply Store The Greeting Farm

I'm back today to share a super fun card I made using Buddy Ian from The Greeting Farm that i purchased over at 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store. I had a lot of fun creating this!

I started out stamping my image twice. Once on Xpress It cardstock and again on brown patterned paper. I colored up my image on the Xpress It cardstock and then on the patterned paper I cut out just the shirt. I adhered it to my colored image and colored it up a little just to add some shadows to it.

For my base, I use a kraft cardstock. I used the Tim Holtz Dot Fade stencil and applied some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide for a really cool faded background. For the sentiment, I used the same distress ink oxide and stamped it twice for a nice solid look. To finish off the card, I adhered it to a chocolate cardstock and popped up my image with foam tape.

Hope you enjoyed today's card!

7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store and The Greeting Farm

Big News!!!! Super excited to share with you today that I am now a part of the 7 Kids Design Team!!!! Woop! Woop!! If you haven't heard of them before, 7 Kids provides supplies for your crafting needs - all in the name really ... 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store... haha!

Today is my first post as an official Design Team member and I'm sharing a bookmark I made for my daughter using The Greeting Farm.

I played around some more with my distress inks which is what I used to make the background. I went for the pinks and yellows for this one because I KNEW I wanted to use a little fairy for it.  While my background was drying, I colored up the fairy with my copics and cut it out using my Scan N Cut machine.

For the sentiment I actually heat embossed it with WOW white embossing powder using my Misti stamp tool. I have found when it comes to embossing, since the ink is clear, to stamp it twice. That gives me nice solid coverage and using my Misti is perfect to line it up perfect each time.

Once the sentiment was complete and my fairy adhered, I laminated it. Perfect-o!! And she loves it so that's good!

All the links are provided below the picture.

WOW White Embossing Powder

Also be sure to head over to the 7 Kids Blog! Lots of great things going on! There is a challenge to participate in for a chance to win a gift certificate to the store and also a special deal going on as well!

Hop C.C. Designs

Hello Hello again! I'm sharing another card from the new release at C.C. Designs! I did something a little different this time with the set.

I took the carrot from this set and flipped it OVER. Using the BACK of the stamp, I randomly stamped around my paper using second generation stamping. This is where I stamp OFF of my paper first and then go to my paper. That way it appears lighter. Once I was satisfied I had enough, I flipped the carrot back over, inked it up and stamped on top of my carrot "blob" .. lol .Sorry I don't know what other word to use but "blob".

Next I used the sentiment "Boing!!" and stamped in between the carrots. My bunny I colored up and used the coordinating die for this set to cut him out. For my sentiment, I stamped in Versamark ink, heat embossed with Recollections White Embossing Powder and adhered to the card. I attached my bunny with some foam squares to "pop" him up a little.

Pretty cool right?!
